Your training and internships

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science (English/Spanish bilingual degree)

As we are in an increasingly internationalised market, companies demand more "multipurpose profiles, with a strategic vision, adapted to change, who know how to work in a team and master new technologies and languages," according to the Job Market Trends 2018, produced by HAYS.

In this degree you will acquire technical skills in data analysis and artificial intelligence implementation and will also deepen your language skills in English, which will provide you with a more competent profile in the labour market. You will have the opportunity to take at least 40% of the subjects in English. This vision will enable you to respond to the different scenarios offered by data science or artificial intelligence anywhere in the world.

To access the Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, you must demonstrate having a B2 level in English. At the end of your studies, the University of Deusto will certify having achieved a level of proficiency in English at C1 level.

Furthermore, you can study subjects both in Spanish and Basque throughout the degree.

Internships

Internships are a fundamental complement to professional development. They are aimed at providing students with a comprehensive training so that they can put into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout their degree, while at the same time gain professional experience that will be highly valued for them to enter the job market.

We currently have internship agreements with more than 100 companies in the engineering industry.

Internships are done in 4th year and are optional. They are carried out under the supervision of a professional at the partner organisation and with the support of a Faculty tutor.

Examples of the fields they work in include environmental sustainability, health, cybersecurity and transport.

DeustoTech is allowing me to apply everything I have learned in class and see the pros and cons of the different technologies. Nothing compares to developing a project for real users and the work atmosphere is great!
