Ioanna's research is in Learning Analytics for Computational Thinking Assessment. Computational Thinking is a very important skill of the XXI century and is closely related to generic competencies due to the fact that it helps the learner to develop confidence in dealing with complexity, tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to communicate and work with others to achieve a common goal. During research, they will be investigated the learning outcomes and the effects of Computational thinking strategies implemented in STEM-related educational platforms and how engagement can be improved and dropout decreased by designing personalized dynamic learning paths.
